Elevation Accountancy and Finance are excited to be working with a fantastic business in the Sheffield area as they look to recruit an Accounts Assistant into their team on a full time, permanent basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and chasing invoices and credit control
  • Processing and banking cheques
  • Reconciling Bank Statements
  • Processing Council Tax statements and payments and liaising with Local Authorities
  • Processing and reviewing rental income received in bank against expected
  • Processing payroll including entering changes into the payroll
  • Review and journal financial transactions and check for accuracy
  • Process incoming invoices
  • Compile financial spreadsheets and reports
  • Process investments statements including updating spreadsheets and the finance system
  • Respond to telephone enquiries internal and external
  • Support colleagues to help balance workload

Person Specification:

  • Good communication skills written and verbal including word processing
  • Good numeric and mathematical competence including use of Formulas in Excel
  • Good knowledge of Financial accounting software and procedures
  • Good general IT competence
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good leaner
  • Good time management
  • Able to plan, organise and work effectively
  • Able to work independently but willing to ask for help and learn from others
  • Able to work as a valued member of a team
