We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly-motivated Assistant Practitioner to join our friendly, supportive and exciting team on the Renal Home Training Unit at Salford Royal, Part of the Northern Care Alliance.

Main duties of the job

You will work as part of the nursing team training patients to carry out their own haemodialysis treatment in their own homes. The unit has 5 patient beds and is located within the Renal Dialysis Unit.

You will need to have experience of haemodialysis and post qualification teaching/patient education is desirable. A UK drivers licence and access to your own car is essential.

Essential criteria
  • NVQ level 3 plus diploma (foundation degree)


Essential criteria
  • Experience of working with patients on haemodialysis
  • Full UK driving license
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of teaching

Level 4 qualification

Essential criteria
  • Nursing Associate level 4/ Assistant Practitioner Level 4
