A very exciting opportunity has arisen for a dietitian to join our adult community dietetic service based in Scarborough. We are a small, very friendly and supportive team working alongside other community services providing a team approach across the locality of Scarborough & Ryedale.

We can accommodate people working from home some of the time which may open this up to someone living further away with fewer commitments to coming in. There is still the requirement to spend some time at base and provide some face to face patient care.

We are happy for discussion on what experience you have and what days and hours may suite you. We are looking for the best candidate to work in our team and will consider other ways it could work.

This is a great opportunity for a dietitian to expand their practice or if you are newly qualified it offers an excellent foundation for your dietetic career. The Trust offers a supportive preceptorship programme.

The role has a varied community caseload including malnutrition, enteral tube feeding, diabetes and gastrointestinal conditions. This list is not exhaustive. We work in a variety of settings such as clinics, patient’s homes and the community ward. As well as offering virtual and telephone consultations. There will also be a focus on education to groups of patients and other health professionals.

We provide student training to A,B and C students and work closely with our Humber Dietetic colleagues covering services in Pocklington, Whitby and East Riding to provide our placements.

The ideal candidate does require the ability to be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the service.

Our team is focused on training and keeping skills high to be specialist as we can in our area. We have great CPD opportunities and clinical supervision.

Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust provides a broad range of community and inpatient mental health services, community services , learning disability services, healthy lifestyle support and addiction services to approximately 600,000 people.
