Job Title: Customer Quality Resident

Location: Solihull

Your Tasks/ Responsibilities

As Customer Quality Resident The Roles Focus Will Be

The day to day contact within Customer Quality (mainly at the customers site)
  • Communicates about quality issues detected at customer to LEONI plant sections
  • Communicates with customer about root cause activities and output done at LEONI plant sections
  • Meetings in case of critical topics whatever the responsibility (LEONI or customer): pre-production, 0-km issue or warranty
  • Drives quality support at customer and control actions
  • Supports at customers regarding problem solving (technical analysis, containment & rework actions),
  • checking conformity of products and effectiveness of corrective/preventive Actions
  • Performs audit in customer warehouse and on car assembly lines, in order to check that
  • LEONI handling and fitting rules are respected.
  • Presents evidence to customer when non LEONI issues are raised to remove non valid complaints to customers and negotiates LEONI liability
  • In case of customer liability, proposes solutions and/or support to solve the issues (problem solving and customer-oriented attitude)
  • Supports Supply Chain in case of logistics complaints by customer (transport, packaging, change of sequencing, etc.), propose solutions to Supply Chain (substitution, rework).
  • Supports Supervision of cable harness prototype installation at the customer.
  • Supports sampling process by OEM customers (organisation and follow up)
  • Supports packing test together with customer (Preserial phase)
  • Supports Preparation of 8D Report (root-cause analysis and actions) for Customer and fill Omni tracker & customer portal when required
  • Supports Model year change (change management) or technical change
  • Supports the evaluation of product-quality / delivered quality
  • Supports to oganize external re-work-company or Leoni
  • Responsible to start complaints in Omni tracker when required
  • Responsible of Final closing of complaints in Omni tracker when required
  • Supports discussion of optimisation-actions with customer, design centre and plant
  • Supports the ordering of material for customer-repair and own stock
Your Profile
  • Knowledge of automotive quality systems and specifications.
  • Quality Core tools and problem solving

  • Relevant Experience: Work / Leadership / Project in harness manufacturing/quality
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise and negotiate directly with the customer
  • Experience of building strong customer relationships
  • A dynamic self-starter with willingness to take the initiative and be proactive
  • Experience of delivering presentations

  • Travel UK and International
  • People Management skills preferable
  • Ability to speak another language would be advantageous Arabic but not essential
  • Ideally qualified to Degree level
  • Advanced user of MS-Office, Excel and PowerPoint
