OVERVIEW
For more than 30 years, CAA Brand Management has helped brands of all shapes and sizes show up in new consumer product categories, experiences and territories, through licensing, strategic partnerships and joint ventures. Clients include many of the world’s leading brands and talent, including Coca-Cola, Jaguar LandRover and Playboy.
The CAA Brand Management controllership finance team is looking for a proactive and energetic finance assistant on a temporary basis for 6 months. The role will report into the finance manager whilst also directly working with the finance controller and another finance assistant.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Month end journal postings e.g. prepayments and accruals for CAA Brand Management operations across UK and the rest of EMEA (2 other entities).
  • Assist the Finance Manager in completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations on a timely basis, with the goal of owning the process in future.
  • Posting of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Maintain currency tables which reflect transactions in bank accounts.
  • Aid the Brand Management finance team in various ad-hoc financial projects.
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS
  • AAT qualified or partially ACA/ACCA qualified is preferred.
  • A strong fundamental understanding of double entry accounting is required.
  • The ability to logically apply accounting principles to assist in completing core responsibilities.
  • Confident user of excel.
  • Able to enter data quickly and accurately, keeping track of data in multiple systems at once.
  • Exposure to accounting systems in a previous role, Microsoft Dynamics is ideal but not required.
  • Experience in accounting for foreign currency transactions would be beneficial but not required.
  • A positive, high energy, can-do attitude.
  • Inquisitive in nature and always keen to learn more, not afraid to ask questions to keep tasks moving forwards efficiently.
  • Works well within a collaborative team.
