An experienced Food Service Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations within the Retail and Vending departments in Canada Square. The role will deputise for the London Regional Manager in their absence. The role will ensure customer service and offerings within the departments are to a very high standard and are always progressing with new innovative ideas with a Commercial focus.



Lead and manage the teams effectively to inspire personnel to meet company goals which includes people culture, product enhancements, financial performance, health and safety and CSR. The role includes delivering on key projects and ensure that company policies and procedures are always followed.

The role will include assigning tasks, leading meetings and implementing your own initiatives as well as what has been cascaded by the company or London regional manager. The Food Service Manager will analyze and implement policies and procedures, oversee short and long-term business plans, initiatives and lead in budgeting activities.

  • Must have the capability to lead from the front and be a strong, credible leader with a very "hands-on" management style, continuously striving to be better.
  • A proven track record of mentoring and developing talent.
  • Must be passionate about the catering industry & possess the obsessive drive to constantly deliver great service.
  • Be naturally people focused and have great communication skills.
  • Ensure attention to detail with all aspects of service & presentation.
  • A strategic, Commercial approach is essential.
  • Must possess strong commercial acumen & have outstanding skills to increase sales & profitability within all areas of the business.
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety/Basic Food Hygiene qualification (CIEH L3).
  • Passionate about food and customer service.
  • Minimum 2 years management experience in a busy high-profile environment.
  • Experience in leading & managing a team of people.
