THE ROLE

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive junior compliance analyst to ensure regulatory and security compliance within multiple departments of our organisation. As a Junior Compliance Analyst, your duties will include oversee business operations, advising employees on industry standards and how to carry that out within the organization, suggesting business process improvement, conducting routine reviews and internal audits, evaluating compliance status and assist the Compliance Manager with any and all external audit needs.

You will be incredibly organised and have a rigorous approach to your work with a meticulous eye for detail – always spotting what needs to get done without being asked. You will be used to working at pace, incredibly flexible and comfortable interacting with numerous stakeholders, both internal and external. You’ll be an expert in your understanding of data systems and able to easily spot and define problems, knowing just how to interpret the information quickly and professional. You’ll be known for your patience particularly when helping out a colleague with a data challenge. You will thrive working as part of a passionate, busy team who love what they do.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Evaluating internal operational and procedural compliance.
  • Analyzing and updating existing compliance policies and related documentation.
  • Communicating compliance policies and guidelines to Management and designated departments.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Establish and enforce organizational standards to maintain quality of service.
  • Remain current on field by attending classes, reading publications, talking with peers and joining professional groups, thereby remaining up-to-date on regulatory changes.
  • Contribute to team effort through compliance.
  • Perform internal reviews to ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented properly.
  • Oversee business operations to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with external inquiries or audits.
  • Make suggestions for process improvement.

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


  • Ideally have a bachelor’s degree but not essential
  • Relevant experience in a compliance/audit role
  • In-depth knowledge of industry compliance requirements and standards (e.g. SOC, SSAE 18)
  • Exceptional ability to formulate compliance policies, procedures, and related documentation.
  • Advanced analytical abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience performing reviews and ensuring quality management
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to embrace complexity.
  • Eye for details
  • Ability to maintain strong working relationships.
  • Understanding of risk assessment and mitigation
  • Proficiency with Excel Macros preferred
