As a Senior Project Analyst in our M&A Pre-Completion Team, you will work closely with the Group CIO on due diligence processes for potential acquisitions. With the increasing pace of acquisition activity, we are looking to increase our capacity and improve handover to integration teams once deals are completed.
Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 6pm.
Duties And Responsibilities
Continue to develop and enhance the M&A integration framework to ensure structure and consistency across all processes. This is including but not limited to engagement with the IT Management team and wider Compliance, Risk and Information security colleagues, consideration and actions from previous integration project lessons learned, and any changes in Group standards as informed by the Group Architecture Review Board.
Focusing on IT, assess the current state of acquisition targets to identify requirements to integrate businesses into the Group. This will include, but not limited to information security, business systems, budget and technology alignment.
Engage with Group IT Senior Management Team to develop and embed an IT Target Operating Model (TOM) to inform the end-state for the acquisition, considering any variance on TOM with emergent requirements.
Take a lead from a project management perspective in the preparation of an IT due diligence report, highlighting results from analysis and proposed budgets and projects plans for integration into Group.
Work with suppliers and other third parties to assess existing contracts, budget, timeframes and effort for integration requirements to inform outcome criterion for successful integration.
Lead on the coordination of Day 1 tasks for onboarding of new acquisitions, through liaison with Marketing and Communications, Human Resources and Group IT to confirm staff information and provide initial connectivity to the Davies Group. This includes direct engagement via induction sessions and initial integration calls.
Develop detailed integration plans, initial draft Project Initiation Documents and Finance trackers in readiness for handover to the integration team.
Completion of handover processes to integration team via Project kick-off calls with IT Project Team, Group IT Management Team and representatives from the acquired business.
Provide regular updates to our Corporate Development Team who lead on M&A processes.
Provide clarification on anticipated integration and recurring budget implications to Senior stakeholders across Group to inform budget planning and monitoring.
Timely escalation of issues to the Group CIO.
Support Group IT Management team in the development and implementation of continuous improvement tasks focused on efficiency, rationalisation and process improvement in the context of M&A activity.
Note that under certain circumstances, you may be required to travel, including international destinations.
Skills & Experience Required
Strong Project Management skillset in an IT environment.
Build trusting relationships with all stakeholders.
M&A activity, including project management, change management and detailed analysis.
Understanding of business process and technology change.
Ability to manage conflicting priorities, multitask and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Comfortable in contributing to technical discussions relating to Legal and Financial detail is an advantage.
Production of high-quality deliverables, including reports, documentation and presentations.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Collaborative team player.
Working with colleagues across the world, including international time zones and local culture.
Budgeting and monitoring large scale IT projects.
Attention to detail and focus on quality, with specific focus on analysis and interpretation of written documentation.
Continuous improvement mindset.
