Sr Project Manager, CRES Services

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintains a current knowledge of technology trends and development tools/techniques which includes attending workshops, reading journals, and reviewing vendor documentation.
  • Manages day to day delivery of the technology discipline as defined in the project brief, including the scope, schedule, financials, etc. of any project-related SoWs
  • Ensures all required deliverables as set forth in the CRES RACI are included in the overall project schedule
  • Attends project delivery calls, records actions for CRES, escalates internally issues and risks presented
  • Oversees the day to day operations of project related matters, communications, monitoring and tracking against approved brief, timeline and budgets
  • Supports the associated decommissioning of any legacy systems / contracts
  • Delivers small works including but not limited to AV, Room booking, Decommissioning, integrations, networking projects globally, working with local vendors, associated procurement, approvals and signs off
  • Ensures IT is engaged in the project and resource has been allocated (IT or local Smart hands), the project timelines are communicated, IT room readiness communicated and oversight, tracking and escalating progress for the IT build components.
  • Deploys standards and documents to suppliers, such as HCL, Project Managers, AV Intergrators and other vendors formally engaged on projects. Ensures quality standards are met
  • Provides remote oversight and management of Racking and Stacking works conducted by IT or HCL. Ensures issues during the build are resolved, ensures the infrastructure is labelled correctly, manages the disposal of equipment, ensures desks are set up correctly , telephones are in working order and testing and user documentation is distributed then stored before Go-Live
  • Fields emails and questions regarding day to day project delivery matters. Reports to stakeholders on progress, escalate issues, risks and progress.
  • Creates and maintains storage folders/co-star for all project documentation
  • Escalates non-performance issues of contractors. Contributes to supplier performance KPI reviews. Monitors sub-contractors to ensures guidelines are maintained.
  • Updates for existing and manages tracking of these requests for new vendors.
  • Contributes and tracks feedback during the course of project delivery. Evaluates the success of the project against its benchmarking and shares lessons or best practice with other team members. Provides feedback to PMO
  • Collates data, information and content for reporting purposes.
  • Provides data to support creation of business case
  • Any other tasks deemed necessary by CRES to fulfil obligations of the role
  • Travel may be required

What we’re looking for
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a technical concentration (e.g. Computer Science, etc)
  • Relevant Pharmaceutical / CRO industry experience
  • Ability to operate with limited oversight and needs to command the respect of a broad range of business and technology stakeholders.
  • Considered an expert at risk mitigation, being able to not just develop mitigation plans for already known risks, but continually “peeling the onion” to find the risks in the project that have not yet been identified.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project and common Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Power Point, Word, One Note)
  • Experience working with Sharepoint (or similar) project workspaces / document repositories
  • Experience managing Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and / or Software as a Service (SaaS) projects, including integrations into and out of these systems, data migrations, etc
  • Technically skilled Project Management professional comfortable managing the tasks of application engineers, database administrators, data architects, infrastructure, security, and other technical functions
  • Must have experience working with local and virtual teams.
  • Must have experience managing mixed internal/vendor and vendor-only project delivery teams
  • Preferred – Systems Integration Consulting / Management Consulting experience
  • Preferred - PMP Certification
  • Preferred - Agile / Scrum system development lifecycle experience
  • Preferred - Past IT experience in other, hands-on capacities (e.g. developer, database administrator, etc.)
