We have an exciting, fixed term opportunity for a Financial Accountant. This is a 12 month Fixed term Contract that would suit a recently qualified accountant from an audit background, or someone with experience in the financial services industry. This role would be ideal for someone who is seeking a position which combines technical accounting and reporting.

The role will be based at our Manchester office combined with home working.

What will you be doing?

The role is intended to provide support to the Group financial reporting team and working towards the goals to improve the quality, timeliness and effectiveness of month end and statutory reporting across the Group and into the Board. The role will be a key member of the Group Financial Control team and encompasses the following areas:

• Monthly management accounting
• Monthly reporting
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Year end and half year accounts
• Providing reporting and insight to the wider Finance team as required

Is this you?

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent – ideally with experience of reporting under IFRS
• Financial Services exposure would be an advantage
• Experience with month-end/year end processes
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written
• Enthusiastic individual, who is keen to work hard, learn and progress their career
• A strong eye for detail
